Patient Participation Group

We have a Patient Participation Group at the Medical Centre, developed to:

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of services
  • Help patients take more responsibility for their health
  • Foster improved communication between the practice and its patients
  • Provide practical support and help to implement change

The PPG and the Practice consult with and channel the views of the (virtual) Patients Reference Group.

The PPG comprises two sections:

  • The PPG Steering Group with Pelham Allen as chair and usually 15 other members. It is expected that the Steering Group members will be willing to attend meetings and take a more active role in the work of the PPG.  Within the steering group, there are often smaller work groups who have specific tasks and responsibilities.  To find out who is in the group, please see latest minutes (tab above).

  • The (virtual) Patients Representative Group; this is a much larger group of patients.  Information is circulated and views sought from this group usually via email.  Eilish Davoren(Practice Manager/PPG lead) maintains the contact database for this group within the practice and keeps it confidential.

If you would like to have a say in the services the medical centre provides, please sign up - we would like to hear from you.
