Access and Accessibility
Patients' car parking spaces are located at the front of the building. There is a drop-off point for taxis and other vehicles. There is also a cycle parking area. We do ask that you please do not park on the double yellow lines as this can obstruct access to disabled parking bays, block emergency services and obscure sight lines for pedestrians, cyclists and drivers.
Designated disabled parking bays are located close to the surgery entrance together with drop-off points. There is level access to the building. The surgery has wide doors to allow for wheelchair access and there is good access for the disabled to all of our consultation rooms.
Accessible toilets are available throughout the building and there are lifts to first floor services.
Wheelchairs are available for use during the course of your visit if required.
A loop system is available for the hard of hearing at the reception desk and in doctors' rooms. Please speak to a receptionist if you are experiencing any difficulties.
Communicating with our patients
At Bridport Medical Centre we are keen to ensure that we communicate well with our patients. We want to be sure that you can easily read and understand the information we send you.
If you find it difficult to read our letters or if you need someone to support you at appointments, please let us know.
Examples of how we can help:
- Do you require information in braille, large print or easy read?
- Do you require a British sign language interpreter or advocate?
If you have any communication preferences, please let a member of the reception team know so we can update your record and make sure that we comply with your request.
