Gender: Female
Primary qualifications: BM (Southampton 1991) MRCGP
GMC number: 3555761

I have worked as a partner at Bridport Medical Centre since 2000 and have embraced spreading my wings  and working in Beaminster since our merge.

I started my medical career studying at Southampton University from 1986- 1991.  After years as a junior doctor in Portsmouth, Basingstoke and then Dorchester I completed my GP training in 1996.  I spent some time working at Joseph Weld Hospice before joining “The Skellern “ Practice as a salaried Doctor and moving to the role of partner with ’The Hollands” practice in 2000.

During my career in Bridport, I have developed my interests in women’s health, palliative care and teaching.  I am a GP trainer and have GP registrars (junior doctors) with me in Bridport completing their training.

I am a Mum to 2 daughters and wife to Ian Platt.  When not at work I am passionate about cooking ( and eating) and spend my spare time riding my ponies or walking my dog.

I love my job and my life in Bridport and think I am incredibly lucky to have such a fantastic job and be able to live in such an amazing place.
