Luke qualified in 2008 from Liverpool University where he worked for a few years before heading to the North Island of New Zealand for an adventure. It was here he truly found his love of the outdoors, be it hiking, skiing or surfing, but also where he decided to pursue his career in General Practice. Leaving New Zealand to be closer to family he studied General Practice in Plymouth to have great access to surf beaches and good walks on Dartmoor followed by a pub lunch.

It was in Plymouth here he met his now wife and started his family but decided to move back to Bridport where he grew up and joined Bridport Medical Centre as a partner in 2016 where he continues to enjoy the wide range of cases that come through his door as well as training future GPs. When not working he continues to enjoy as much time in the outdoors, either walking the dog with his family, or running, cycling or sea swimming with friends. He has bought himself a new surfboard for Christmas and plans to catch some more waves and teach his children as they get older!
